Qingdao Kiwi Bio-Plastic Co., Ltd was set up in October 2005, which is a Sino-New Zealand joint venture. The company has introduced the most developed technique of biodegradable plastic in the world to produce the biodegradable raw materials using the Bio-additives “REVERTE” from UK and final products such as food package bags, rubbish bags, one-off tableware and agriculture film etc., which can be biodegraded to carbon dioxide and water after being thrown into the landfills or compost sites within 3-9 months depending the amount of bio additives being added to the plastic raw materials and natural conditions.

All additives are approved for food contact use according to the requirements of EC Directive 2002/72/EC “Plastics materials and articles in contact with food” and can be used for food package without harm to human, animals and the environment. The bio-plastic products possess a totally biodegradable characteristic whilst retaining a high level of tensile, elasticity, toughness and transparency, and meet the requirements of exporting package. The products are designed with the environment caring and solve the plastic pollution.
